Instruction from James available if needed. The 2 hour session is divided into

Freestyle (just do what you like)

Still Life set up and ready to paint or draw

Portraits  :  a 3D face cast to copy if no live model available

You can choose any or all three styles (if space permitting)

You can book a place or turn up and see if there is a space.

James Wilkinson is primarily a portrait painter. For the past thirty years he has painted hundreds and hundreds of faces. many of them you will recognise.

James believes that the portrait should be pushed to its extremes and he has always asked his subjects to collaborate with him in producing their portraits.

His work continues to break boundaries.......

Major Dick Winters

It is with huge regret that I post the sad passing of one of the true heroes of our lifetimes.

Major Dick Winters, the Subject of Speilberg/Hank's Band of Brothers'  Epic and my 2009 Exhibition in Normandy sadly lost his brave fight for life this week.  He was a true inspiration to me.

  AFTER THE STORM

Painting For Charity

James recently painted a picture entitled 'After The Storm'  The painting in oil was auctioned off for the Cancer Research at an exhibition snooker match by Ronnie O Sullivan and Jimmy White. Only 25 prints are being made. Two were sold on the night and the other 23 will be available to buy with donations being made to Cancer Research for each one. Signed by Jimmy White Ronnie O Sullivan and James.
